A Study of the Personality Structure and the Attitude on the Major Subject in the Collegiate Nursing Students

Abstract

|
The purpose of the present study to find out the relationship between satisfied group and dissatisfied group on the major subject in the personality structure test.
The personality diagnostic test was carried out by whang chung keu´ s tool. 190 students of Nursing Department, Medical College, Busan National University, who enrolled for spring semester of 1975, were tested.
The present study was worked out through descriptive research, and resulted in the following conclusions:
1. The personlity structure test: in general, the students of the satisfied group was listed a higer degree than those of the dissatisfied group. In addition, both group weren´t problematical in the personality structure.
2. The need for achievement: the satisfied group was listed a higher degree than those of the dissatisfied group.
This is statistical willing difference between the both group.
3. The dissatisfied degree on the major subject in an upper class (3-4 years) seemed a higher degree than the lower class (1-2 years) during period of the clinical practice.
The above-mentioned conclusions show that the collegiated nursing students haven´t the interest on the major subject during period of the clinical practice.
The higher group of need for achievement is listed at a higher satisfied degree on the major subject.
